The Hyk Story
The idea behind Hyk Outdoors LLC came to founder Jeff Baker as he searched for a solution to spending time outdoors, without the inconvenience and discomfort that tent camping brought. Jeff designed and built a small teardrop camper that would allow him and his family to travel and explore the outdoors, without the need for bulky tents or sleeping on the ground. Once Jeff realized the full potential of the camper and how it could benefit others who found themselves in the same situation, it was only a matter of time until Hyk Outdoors was born. He was able to expand his business with the help of The Callaway Bank’s Business Banking Team.
Building The Business
What began as a small, start-up business in the Baker’s garage, has grown into one of the USA’s premier makers of custom teardrop trailers. Built within two state-of-the-art shops, the home of Hyk Outdoors LLC sits on 4 acres in Kingdom City, Missouri, and strives to provide quality teardrop campers to anyone who desires adventure in an efficient yet comfortable way to spend time outdoors.
