You’ve seen them.  Advertisements that occasionally pop up on your browser windows sharing info or requesting you complete a survey.    They appear in many different shapes and sizes trying to get your attention with personalization in an effort to get your personal information.   Simply stated,  they are a part of the digital media mix in use today.

Just a reminder, The Callaway Bank will never request personal information from our customers through a pop up or via email.   It is just not how we communicate with our customers.

A good policy is to not purchase anything through a pop up or spam email.  Always confirm you are buying from a reputable source.  If  it is too good to be true…..it probably is.

Not everything that pops up is unsafe, however, it  is a good practice to clean out your cookies and browsing history often to remove tracking programs….and save the pop ups for the toaster.
