Steve Kempker

Steve Kempker is a seasoned banker with roots deeply embedded in the heart of Missouri. Hailing from Stoutsville, Steve has always been connected to the land and its people. Now, he serves local businesses and farmers across mid-Missouri as an Agriculture & Commercial Lender

Armed with a BSBA in Marketing from UCM, Steve entered the world of banking and real estate over 25 years ago. He further honed his skills by prioritizing ongoing education, including graduating from the Missouri Bankers Association School of Lending as well as the Barret Graduate School of Banking at Christian Brothers University.

Outside of the Bank, you’ll find him tending to his personal farm in Audrain County or his family farm in Knox County. His passion for the outdoors extends to hunting, fishing, and dedicating time to land and wildlife management. But Steve’s interests aren’t confined to rural pursuits – he’s also a musician, frequently performing at venues around Mark Twain Lake and beyond.

Steve is also deeply committed to giving back to his community. He volunteers with organizations like the Food Bank of NE Missouri, Meals on Wheels, and the Columbia, MO, Boys and Girls Club, where he served as a board member. He has also served as Past President of the Columbia Missouri Apartment Association and is a member of the Knights of Columbus.

What drives Steve’s dedication to The Callaway Bank? It’s the opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of others. Whether it’s facilitating a first car loan or spearheading community reinvestment projects, Steve finds fulfillment in helping individuals and communities achieve economic success and financial security.
