If you’ve stopped into any of our branches, or frequently checked our Facebook and Twitter pages, you may have noticed photos and information about a certain group of Callaway Bank customers known as The Gold Leaf Club. Who are they and what do they do?

The Gold Leaf Club is made up of Callaway Bank customers ages 50 or better. They participate in various optional social events, seminars and trips, along with receiving special banking products. For example, members of The Gold Leaf Club recently traveled to Milwaukee to watch the Cardinals take on the Brewers. Other Gold Leaf Club trips have included Switzerland, Ireland and Hawaii.

In order to be a member of The Gold Leaf Club, you must:

  • Be at least 50 years of age or better
  • Have a Gold Leaf Interest Checking or Gold Leaf Ultimate Checking account
  • Have $10,000 in combined bank deposits

Seminar topics have included retirement planning and Medicare. Special products and services available to Gold Leaf Club members include Gold Leaf checking, free money orders and free notary service. It is a great way to get out and about, explore new places and hobbies, be social and keep up-to-date on important financial topics. The Club presents itself as a way to “enjoy — what some people might call — the good life.” With the sheer amount of activities that the Gold Leaf Club holds throughout the year, it is certainly a very active “good life” to be leading!
